cosmetic skincare+ making – When you think of beauty tips, do you think of the sweet stuff? I know that I love a good chocolate facial, just for starters. Then there are the many different sugar scrubs and spice wraps.
However, all those things are not cheap. My last vacation spa visit was well over 150 dollars and I didn’t even get a full massage. Thankfully, there are many different ways to give yourself some of the same sweet treatments at home. The basis for these awesome facials and masques? Honey, of course.
Below are just a few uses for honey that will leave you feeling delicious and beautiful:
* Honey Beauty Tip #1: Make use of bubbles - Just adding a cup of honey to your bubble bath will leave your skin soft and smooth. Exfoliate with a loofah while you’re in there for extra creamy, glowing skin. Add 4 tablespoons of whole milk powder and feel just like Cleopatra, who used milk baths to keep her skin clear. Of course, any time you bathe in any edible product, be sure to rinse down extra well afterwards.
* Honey Beauty Tip #2: Cake it on. - Make an egg white masque by whipping egg whites, a tablespoon of honey and a little flour or unsweetened cocoa together to make a thick paste. Then put a hot wash cloth on your face for about three minutes to open up your pores. Next smooth it on your face. Then wait for 10 minutes. Your skin will be beautiful when you wash off the mask.
* Beauty Tips With Honey #3: Just make your own toner. - Get an air-tight container and mix ½ cup of honey, 2 cups of buttermilk and a ½ cup of rosewater together. If you have a Tupperware with a screw-on lid, it will work perfect. Shake it up until its blended together well. Don’t worry, its supposed to be runny and a cloudy color. You can apply it with a cotton ball for tight, toned skin.
The best honey should be used for these treatments. You just need a good sized jar of organic honey, which is less than 20 dollars, that hasn’t been treated with chemicals or preservatives. You will be able to use this honey for your beauty tips for months to come
